Our client had a very young family and wanted this traditional front room to feel more fun, inviting and cosy, transforming it from a seldom used ‘dumping ground’ to a multi-functional space for all the family to enjoy. The decor brief was to suit daytime play as well as evening relaxing and watching movies, so we introduced a deep, soft green-blue on walls, which feels fresh during the day, yet cosy at night. We added alcove joinery for extra storage, new window dressings and furnishings with a retro feel to suit the client’s tastes for Scandi midcentury design.
